Significant Facts

For 2019–2020 academic sessions, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (https://wbjeeb.in/)(https://wbjeeb.nic.in/JENPAUHCMS/public/home.aspx) entrance examination titled JENPAUH-2019 for admission to the following courses in Colleges/ Institutes in the State of West Bengal.

  • B.Sc. Nursing (Bachelor of Nursing)
  • BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy)
  • BASLP (Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology)
  • BMLT (Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technician)
  • B.Sc. CCT (B.Sc. in Critical Care Technology)
  • B.Sc. OTT (B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology)
  • B.Sc. PT (B.Sc. in Perfusion technology)
  • B.Sc. PA (B.Sc. in Physician Assistant)
  • Eligibility Criteria

    B.Sc Nursing :
    • Only female candidates are eligible to apply for B.Sc Nursing course.
    • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed their 10+2 level examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from a recognized board.
    • Qualifying Subjects: Candidate must have cleared his science stream with Physics, Biology, chemistry and English as compulsory subjects.
    • Qualifying Marks: Candidate must have scored individual pass marks (Theory + practical) in each of the qualifying subjects. Minimum aggregate of 45% (For ST/SC/OBC-A&B/PwD – 40%) must be secured in 10+2 level.
    • Candidate must be medically fit to undertake the course.
      Age Limit: Candidate’s age should not be less than 17 years as on 31st December 2019. No upper age limit is prescribed.

    BPT :
    • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed their 10+2 level examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from a recognized board.
    • Qualifying Subjects: Candidate must have qualified his 10+2 level exams with the subjects of Physics, Biology, chemistry and English as compulsory subjects.
    • Qualifying Marks: Candidate must have scored individual pass marks (Theory + practical) in each of the qualifying subjects.
    • Fitness: Candidate must be medically fit to undertake the course.
    • Age Limit: Candidate’s age should not be less than 17 years as on 31st December, 2019. No upper age limit is prescribed.

    BASLP :

    Aspiring candidates, having qualified the Senior Secondary (10+2) examination in the Science stream, from a recognized educational Board, are eligible.


    BMLT :

    Aspiring candidates need to have qualified the Senior Secondary Certificate (class 12th) Examination in the Science stream, with a minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) or equivalent CGPA.

    WBJEE JENPAUH 2019 Exam Pattern

    • Exam mode: The entrance exam will be organized in offline mode.
    • Type of questions: The question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions with four answer options.
    • Medium Language: The language medium of the paper will be in English and Bengali both.
    • Papers: The test will be held for two papers –
    • Chemistry and Physics
    • Biological Sciences
    • Number of questions: Each paper will consist of 50 questions of 2 marks each.
    • Maximum marks: Each paper will be of 100 marks.
    • Time duration: Candidates will be given the time duration of 2 hours to complete each paper.
    • Marking Scheme: For each correct response, 2 marks will be awarded. For every wrong response, -½ marks will be deducted.
